Giving Something Good . . .
Tricia Grennan is a Chicago-native, who, after a long absence has returned to her roots in the “Windy City.” Before leaving, she was a regular on the Chicago stage, including appearances at the Beacon Street Theatre and Pegasus Players. She was also featured for many years in The Goodman Theatre’s production of “A Christmas Carol.” When not acting, Tricia could regularly be seen singing her heart out at clubs like Boombala and The Royal George Cabaret.
In addition to her acting, she is also a songwriter and a member
of ASCAP. Drawing her musical inspiration
from such diverse talents like Rosemary Clooney, John Pizzarelli, Barry Manilow,
Johnny Mercer, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Sting, Eva Cassidy, Tony Bennett, Tracy
Chapman, and Bonny Raitt, Tricia writes music and lyrics with heart and soul.
Defying a category, her songs span the musical spectrum from jazz to
folk.
During her absence from Chicago, Tricia has continued to write
music and perform. In her own words,
she wants to “give something good, serve someone who needs to be touched, and
entertain.” Now that she’s returned
to her roots, her songwriting continues, and she can frequently be seen performing
around town.
